Rhea Chakraborty breaks her social media silence after six long months; here is what she had to say!
MUMBAI: Rhea Chakraborty was not active on social media for more than six months. The actress was arrested by the NCB in connection with the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. She spent her time in jail also. Now, on the occasion of Women's Day, she broke her social media silence by sharing a photo with her mom Sandhya Chakraborty. She wrotea strong message, her first since August 2020.
Rhea wrote, "Happy Women’s Day to us... Maa and me .. together forever ... my strength, my faith, my fortitude - my Maa #love #faith #fortitude #strength #mother #womenwhoinspire #womenempowerment."
Have a look.
In the SSR death case, the 33 people who have been named on the charge sheet include Rhea and her brother Showik. Sushant's former manager Samuel Miranda and household help Dipesh Sawant have also been named.
Rhea's lawyer Satish Maneshinde said, "All efforts of the NCB have been directed towards Rhea Chakraborty, to somehow rope her in. The entire NCB, from top to bottom was engaged in unearthing the drug angle in Bollywood. The charge sheet is a damp squib standing on the foundation of inadmissible evidence and statements recorded under NDPS Act Sec. 67 even after the Supreme Court judgement in the Toofan Singh case. Without Rhea Chakraborty being charged, this case has no substance."
