Richa Chadha, who was last seen as a bold woman Nagma in Anurag Kashyap’s Gangs of Wasseypur, is all set to play a Bholi Punjaban in Excel Entertainment’s forthcoming film Fukrey directed by Farhan Akhtar.
Talking about her role in Fukrey, the actress says, “Bholi Punjaban is different from Nagma as the latter was a gangster’s wife and here Bholi is a gangster herself. She’s young, ambitious, quirky, hostile and endearing. She is fun and you will expect something every time she will be on screen. Unlike Nagma, she is young and sexy. Knowing she is sexy, she doesn’t make a deal out of it. In short, she is anything but Bholi.”
Incidentally, Richa has a couple of big films in her hand among which are Tamanchey in which she plays a glamorous role of an outlaw gangster girl. She can also be seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's epic film Ram Leela, a Gujarati version of Romeo & Juliet wherein she plays the character of Raseela.
Internationally, Richa has worked with the acclaimed Academy Award nominated director Mira Nair in an International short film that includes the likes of Ben Kingsley in its cast.
