MUMBAI: Rishi Kapoor, who was last seen in 102 Not Out, is feeling homesick. The veteran actor wants to return to India at the earliest.
Last year, the actor hurriedly made an exit from India citing health issues, which were kept under wraps when he left for treatment. The actor had back then announced his departure to New York on his Twitter handle. Later it was revealed that the actor was detected with cancer. The news came out after many denials from his children and extended family members. Now, he is looking forward to come to India as soon as he finishes his treatment.
Hello all! I am taking a short leave of absence from work to go to America for some medical treatment. I urge my well wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. It’s been 45 years “plus”of wear and tear at the movies. With your love and good wishes,I will be back soon!

In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Rishi Kapoor revealed that he is perfectly fit now and cancer is in remission. But he is still under treatment, as he also mentions that it is not the treatment but reaction time, which is time-consuming. After each cycle of his treatment there is a six weeks long gap.
He also shared that he will be in NYC for two more weeks. After undergoing his last chemotherapy, he will stay back in the city for five-six weeks to ensure that the disease doesn't relapse. In addition to the pain and the feeling of being homesick, he also revealed how his family- wife Neetu Kapoor, son Ranbir and daughter Riddhima have been extremely supportive. The actor also said that he wants to get back to work as early as possible after his return to the country.
