MUMBAI: Hindi movies are a combination of art and business. The response from the audience and the performance of that same movie at the box office can be very different. We have heard from many celebrities in their interviews accepting box office reports as the core result of the movie. On the other hand, we also know about many actors who only believe in doing projects that they like to do as they believe that the audience give it a deserving response even after the movie is done running in theatres.

Many movies (like Sholay, Jab We Met, Hera Pheri etc) and characters (Rajpal Yadav in Waqt, Akshay Kumar, Paresh Rawal and Suniel Shetty from Hera Pheri, Kader Khan in all Govinda movies) are memorable for the uniqueness that they bring on big screens. Well, a lot of filmmakers try different formulae to make their film run and their method depends what they prioritise - is the collection of theatres? One of the formulae that is used by a lot of filmmakers is the use of relatability factor as that seems to be the easiest way to connect to the audience in such a way that it doesn't just comfort the audience but also makes them feel like watching again or get involved in the movie experience emotionally.
