Saif, Riteish and Ram Kapoor in triple roles for Sajid Khan’s Humshakals

Sometime ago, there were talks that Saif Ali Khan would be playing a triple role in Fox Star Studio and Pooja Films’ upcoming movie Humshakals but nothing was confirmed. Now, it has been confirmed that not only Saif but Riteish Deshmukh and Ram Kapoor would also be playing a triple role in this comedy. Director Sajid Khan aims to make this movie an even bigger hit than Housefull and Housefull 2. Initially, Amitabh Bachchan was to play the role that Ram is essaying, but since Sajid wants to go on the floors in September, the elder Bachchan said no to the project since he would be busy with Kaun Banega Crorepati. Automatically, the role went to Ram with whom Sajid was happy (in terms of performance) after he saw Meri Dad Ki Maruti. Sajid is said to be busy finalizing the shooting locations of the movie that is scheduled to hit the floors in September this year. Meanwhile, Saif, who is busy with his home production Bullet Raja, is likely to complete it in another two months after which the director will embark shooting of Humshakals. Sources further reveal that most part of the movie would be shot at different exotic locations abroad. Humshakals is expected be an out-and-out comedy. Sajid, who faced a lot of criticism for his last release Himmatwala, hopes to bring out the best in Saif, Riteish and Ram. These actors have already tried hands at comedy and together they intend to bring a laugh riot on screen. Besides these actors, this Vashu Bhagnani produced film would also have three leading ladies paired opposite Saif. Among them are Himmatwala fame Tamannah Bhatia and Sonal Chauhan of Jannat, while the third lady is yet to be finalised. Humshakals is expected to have a worldwide release on 6 June, 2014.
