MUMBAI: Salman Khan and Atlee are in talks for a big-budget action movie, with Sun Pictures serving as the producer, according to an entertainment portal story from a week ago. We also revealed that the movie in question is set to be a two-hero story, and that Atlee intends to bring in a major star from the Tamil film industry to make it a true pan-Indian spectacular. Furthermore, Atlee is already in discussions with Salman Khan and Kamal Haasan for his upcoming film.

Atlee has been in talks with both superstars for the past three months, and things are moving forward, according to sources close to the story.“It’s a pure two-hero feature film, which warrants the presence of genuine superstars. Both Kamal Haasan and Salman Khan have loved the idea that Atlee is working on and are excited for this collaboration. It’s a yes in principle, however, the paperwork shall happen once they hear the complete narration later this month,” revealed a source.

Salman Khan and Kamal Haasan are very respectful of one other's work and have gone a long way together. If plans come to pass, Atlee's upcoming project will be their first joint production, and viewers can expect a fantastic cinematic experience.  “After Jawan, Atlee has been working to create the biggest action spectacle of Indian Cinema, and he has now started to take steps in this direction by getting in conversations with two of the biggest megastars of Indian Cinema. He is planning to take the film on floors by early next year,” the source informed.

Sources close to the development say that a sizable technical team will also join the as-yet-untitled movie, and that as soon as the two titans sign on the dotted line, work will start on assembling a capable cast. Superstars Salman Khan and Kamal Haasan will lend the necessary star power to Atlee's story. The character sketch and plot details of this movie have not yet been revealed, but sources say the goal is to create a movie that represents Indian cinema on a worldwide scale.

Salman Khan is anticipated to move on to Atlee after completing work on the Sikandar film, which was directed by AR Murugadoss. By the end of this year, Kamal Haasan will wrap up filming for Indian 3 and Thug Life, after which he may move on to Atlee's next project.
