MUMBAI: It seems Bollywood star Salman Khan, who produced many films and launched several actors in the film world, has an interesting take when it comes to direction.
During a recent interaction with media when Salman was asked if he was game for direction, he gave a humorous reply. He said, “I wanted to start my career with Direction, but that didn't happen. Thank God.”
However, the Dabangg and Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor was actively involved in some of his films during the scripting stage. “Yeah. I do. Because as soon as you feel that you know the formula it just comes out. And then you guys only play the clip. Itna hunar hai tumhara script nikalne ne (do you have the talent to make a script). Aap logon ne ek acchi khaasi picture ko flop bana diya. It was a 140 crore film. Jai Ho and even Tubelight. I hope inki bohot badi flop ho jaye,” he joked.
On the work front, Salman’s upcoming film is Bharat, an official adaptation of the 2014 South Korean film Ode to My Father. The film is set across several decades and Salman and Katrina Kaif will have five different looks in it. Directed by Ali Abbas Zafar and also starring Disha Patani, Sunil Grover and Nora Fatehi in pivotal roles, Bharat is scheduled to release on Eid.
