Samantha Ruth Prabhu's father, Joseph Prabu passed away; the actress shared the news on social media

MUMBAI : Samantha Ruth Prabhu is one of the most well-known names in the South. With her performance in The Family Man season 2 and her special song in Pushpa: The Rise, the actress also drew the attention of the Hindi audience.

Last year, unfortunately, the actress was diagnosed with Myositis, and posted about it on social media. Samantha's every post after that has always grabbed a lot of attention and motivates people with health conditions.

Samantha’s style and fashion game are always on point. She has always been an inspiration for fashionistas. Samanth has a massive fan following on social media and loves to share stunning glimpses of her personal and professional life.

Now the actress took to social media and revealed about the sudden demise of her father Joseph Prabhu.

The actress turned to Instagram to share an emotional post, writing, "Until we meet again, Dad," along with a broken heart emoji.

Samantha was born to Joseph Prabhu and Ninette Prabhu in Chennai. Her father, a Telugu Anglo-Indian, was an important figure in her life and upbringing.

Fans and well-wishers have expressed their sympathies to the actress during this trying time following the news of her father's loss.

In a recent interview Samantha had mentioned about her “strained" relationship with her father, Joseph Prabhu, and how it affected her sense of self-worth.

In an interview with an entertainment portal she said ‘Growing up, I had to struggle to be accepted. My dad was somewhat like that's how I believe the majority of Indian parents are. They believe they are protecting you," she started.

She also said that her father had told her she wasn’t smart and since was told in her childhood she believed that for the longest time.

After Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya’s marriage ended in October 2021, her father had taken to social media and shared her marriage photos and mentioned that it took him time to come to terms with their split and expressed his hope to begin a new chapter in his life.

Condolences to Samantha and her family and may god give her the strength to cope up with the loss.
