MUMBAI: Sanjay Dutt has been diagnosed with lung cancer. Over the weekend, the actor was snapped at two hospitals with his sister Priya Dutt. According to Mumbai Mirror, Sanjay and Priya Dutt had visited a hospital in Andheri for a brief time and the actor is expected to undergo chemotherapy sessions there. Even on Sunday, Sanjay Dutt was snapped at a hospital, reportedly for another round of check-ups.

Last week, the actor announced to his fans that he is taking a break from work for some medical treatment, but he had not revealed the nature of his illness. Reports suggested that the actor was planning to fly to US for treatment.
Maanyata Dutt, who is currently in Dubai with their kids Shahraan and Iqra, had shared in an official statement, “I thank everyone who has expressed their well wishes for Sanju’s speedy recovery. We need all the strength and prayers to overcome this phase. There is a lot that the family has gone through in the past years but I am confident, this too shall pass.”
