MUMBAI: Alright, so you like a movie, you watch it on repeat, what’s something that you like the most? Maybe the romance between the couple, a fight between hero and villain, or even a competition where the hero wins.
As a fan, it is not strange how you always get attracted and fascinated by the hero or the leads doing something that’s not right as for you, it’s still entertaining. However, there are times when you just can’t help thinking about the other guy, call them bad guys or villain or just negative, there are times when even such characters have made a place in our mind for what either what they went through or the way they ended up.
Talking about such characters, we cannot help but think how many such characters have we watched that have won our sympathy or have even made us love them. Interesting enough? Well let’s move forward to the list of such characters:
Don (From the movie Don)
Shah Rukh Khan played dual roles in this 2006 movie. While he played the role of Don, he also played the role of Vijay, his look-alike. The audience was completely in love with Don, even though for the most part we got to see Vijay. In fact, the end part where we see Don carrying Vijay in the hospital completely won over the audience.
Kabir (From Dhoom)
We knew what a passionate robber Kabir was and that he did not do something so morally wrong where he took an innocent life or harassed someone. He was a robber with ethics and value, which is why he was able to stay untouched by the police. The audience fell in love with John Abraham’s character her and this movie gave major recognition to the actor. Kabir wo our heart at the end when he jumps off the cliff.
Anshuman (From Jab We Met)
Yesss! We agree Jab We Met is an amazing movie and the couple Aditya-Geet is iconic but here’s the thing, what was Anshuman’s mistake? A lot of fans tried to keep themselves in his shoes and not a lot of them reacted any different than how Anshuman reacted as not families are all the same, sometimes it’s really hard to open up about something that too about a lover you want to marry and not to forget, Geet appeared so suddenly of course Anshuman will panic. This is where a lot of audience pointed out how they sympathize with the character even though they loved watching the love story of Aditya and Geet.
Chatur (From 3 Idiots)
Let’s get this straight, not everyone’s a genius and everyone has their own struggles. Even Chatur was struggling to stay on top as that is what was important to him. Like Rancho, even he had his way of making it to the top. Can’t blame him for that. The character did entertain us all in the end.
IG Meera Deshmukh (From Drishyam)
She was a mother who loved her only son infinitely. There are fans who have pointed out that there is nothing wrong about the motherly love she showed for her son. Tabu’s character was also loved that there were times when the audience wanted Ajay Devgn to speak the truth and the fans also sympathized with Tabu’s character here.
Manya Surve (From Shootout At Wadala)
The movie was loved and so was Manya Surve’s character played by John Abraham. Surely the character was seen as negative and doing some wrong things but there’s no way you can’t feel sympathy for what made him into what he became later. If anything, you feel a little better for the way he evolved.
What do you think about these characters?
