After long, the battle lines have been drawn. No, we aren’t talking of an India-Pak war. We are talking about the battle of the Kauravas and the Pandavas in Jayantilal Gada’s upcoming animated film Mahabharata 3D.
After mostly the entire cast was assembled, the producer was frantically looking out for an actor who could reprise the role of Lord Krishna in the film. In between there were talks of Salman Khan playing Krishna.
And here comes the stunner!
Shatrughan Sinha will play the role of Krishna (mouth his dialogues) in the 3D epic. So just imagine the scene when Bachchan, who plays Bhishma Pitamah will confront Krishna (Shatrughan Sinha).
Interestingly, the two characters fight the Kurukshetra war on opposite sides, Krishna being the catalyst in Arjun's decision to end Bhishma Pitamah's life.
So, now the casting of Mahabharata 3D is complete. Earlier we had reported that the following actors have been picked up to play different characters in the epic. They are Amitabh Bachchan (Bhishma Pitamah), Vidya Balan (Draupadi), Sunny Deol (Bheem), Ajay Devgn (Arjun), Anil Kapoor (Karna), Manoj Bajpai (Yudishtir) and Anupam Kher (Shakuni).
Now, it is to be seen as to what kind of impression these two veterans create with their strong baritones.
Our guess is as good as yours!
