SHOCKING! This actress breaks down over morphed video; files complaint

MUMBAI: Malayalam actress Remya Suresh was in a state of shock when she learnt about her morphed video. The actress took to Facebook to share a video in which she spoke about the morphed video, which is doing the rounds on the internet. Many allege that the woman in the video resembles Remya Suresh.

The video that the actress has shared on her social media handle sees her breaking down and saying that she has filed a complaint with the Alappuzha Police and Cyber Cell. Remya Suresh, in her video, said that her husband stands by her in these testing times. She was moved to tears while talking about her ordeal. She revealed that the woman in the video is not her. Remya also added that she's at this stage in her career without making any compromises. Sharing the video, Remya wrote, "I am Ramya Suresh, I have nothing to do with the video that is spreading on the internet. Legal action has been taken regarding the same. Please don't spread it."

Remya further stated in the video, "To my surprise, her facial features are similar to mine. People who know me personally will know the difference if they look closely. But, others won't be able to see that difference and I fear for it. "After she came to know about the video from a friend, Remya lodged a complaint with the Superintendent of Police in Alappuzha and cyber cell. "I know I am not the person in the video. My husband stands by me, which gives me courage. The police officers were supportive and promised to do everything to help me. They have gathered information about the person who circulated the video. When I returned home from the police station, I was confident. But now, I have been getting so many messages on my Facebook page. What will I tell my friends when they call me after watching the video? I have reached this stage only because I did not make any compromises. Please don't think of me like that and message me," she said.

Remya Suresh said that she could deal with this issue because of her supportive family.

On the work front, Remya Suresh was last seen in Nayanthara and Kunchacko Boban's Nizhal, which released in theatres in April.
