Siddharth Bodke on working with Ajay Devgn, Tabu, Akshaye Khanna in Drishyam 2, “They made me feel very comfortable” – Exclusive! 

MUMBAI :  Siddharth Bodke is a famous name in the Marathi film industry, and his performance as Jagtap in the TV show Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin is being loved by one and all. Siddharth made his Bollywood debut this year with Drishyam 2 in which he plays a pivotal role.

TellyChakkar recently interacted with Siddharth and spoke to him about Drishyam 2, his experience of working with Ajay Devgn, Tabu, and Akshaye Khanna, and more…

What response are you getting from your fans for your performance in Drishyam 2? 

The response is amazing. It’s my first Bollywood film, so it’s special for me, and that too it’s Drishyam 2. It is doing well at the box office, so the response has been overwhelming, and I am very happy.

What was your reaction when you came to know that you have been selected to play a pivotal role in Drishyam 2?

I had not seen the first part of Drishyam. During the post-pandemic, I was sitting with my friends and they said let’s watch something. So, they had watched Drishyam a lot of times, and they said let’s watch it again. I told them I have not watched the film, so they were like please watch this movie. Of course, I loved it, and it’s a very beautiful coincidence that after 10 days I got a call from the casting agency and they said we want you to audition for Drishyam 2. I auditioned for a role, and I got selected, but then the director wanted me to audition for another role, I did that, and finally, I got this character, David.

 You got a chance to share screen space with actors like Ajay Devgn, Tabu, and Akshaye Khanna. Were you nervous about it?

Honestly, I was not nervous. I was excited that I was getting a chance to work with all these actors. These actors are legends, and they are legends for a reason. I feel their energy is very collaborative and they made me feel very comfortable. Of course, there’s performance pressure because you are working with such big stars. I have watched them since my childhood and now, I was doing scenes with them, so the feeling of excitement was more. I was just observing them and they are beautiful people.
