Simple birthday celebration for Amitabh Bachchan due to Karva Chauth

Dressed in Abu-Sandeep's brightly coloured orange kurta, a handsome looking Amitabh Bachchan made a superstar appearance at his palatial bungalow to address the media which was present in full force. Sporting a French beard and black framed spectacles, the birthday boy looked every bit enthusiastic and radiated positive charm all around. While the superstar is used to celebrating his birthday with great pomp and splendour, this 72nd one would be a quiet affair owing to Karva Chauth. Disclosing this Amitabh said, "It's a very simple day and I have not really organized anything special. Also today is Karva Chauth owing to which the female members of my family are observing a fast. They will break their fast after seeing the moon and hence I have decided not to keep anything special." Bachchan however owing to the various medicines that he takes couldn't observe the hunger fast like other members of the house. When asked if he would have his birthday cake only after the ladies in the family break their fast, Amitabh said, "I have to take medicines on time due to which I cannot remain on empty stomach. So I am not fasting. But yes I will be having my meal along with my female members after they break their fast." The legend also thanked his countless fans for their love and support and humbly stated that it's their love which keeps him going even at this age. Here's wishing Big B a very happy 72nd birthday.
