MUMBAI: Ranveer Singh is the latest actor who has become a victim of the alarming trend of deep fake videos being circulated. He was shown endorsing a political party. In one of the latest developments by Bollywood Bubble, the 'Singham Again' actor revealed to a news agency that he has filed an FIR which will be further investigated by the Cyber Crime Cell.
Talking about the AI-generated fake clip, he is shown expressing his political views during his latest visit to Varanasi. In the alleged clip, the actor is asking people to vote for "Naya (justice)" in the ongoing 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The star later took to his social media handle to clarify that the viral clip was morphed. He posted an Instagram story that read, "Deepfake se bacho dostonnnn". He had also posted a tweet about the same. The clip was made by the voice clone of the talented star.

A press statement was also passed by the spokesperson of the actor that read, "Yes, we have filed the police complaint and FIR has been lodged against the handle that was promoting the AI-generated deep fake video of Mr. Ranveer Singh (sic)”. Talking about the star, he recently walked the ramp by the Ganges in Varanasi for ace fashion designer Manish Malhotra.
On the professional front, Ranveer will be essaying the role of Simmba in Rohit Shetty's much-awaited cop drama film 'Singham Again'. He will be seen with wife Deepika Padukone along with Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Tiger Shroff, and Kareena Kapoor Khan.
