The Twitter argument between Shefali Vaidya and Sona Mohapatra began when former lauded Kangana and wrote, “The systematic smear campaign against @KanganaTeam has reached epic proportions, everyone from C grade actresses to Z grade directors have taken out their pitchforks. #Kudos to #KanganaRanaut. She has staked her whole future in the film industry at the altar of truth,” replying to her Sona said, “there are many including @Apurvasrani @RanvirShorey who spoke about the beast of nepotism & bullying in the industry. I too lauded her for being brave & talking truth to power. Doesn’t make her a ‘martyr’ or ‘messiah’.Also what exactly r u propagating in the B, C, Z categorisation?”
Shefali in her response to the singer said, “Yes, @Apurvasrani and @RanvirShorey are courageous as well, so don’t quite understand your objection to my applauding @KanganaTeam. She had the most to lose. As for the characterisation, I am only vocalising the class system that has existed in the film industry for YEARS!”
Towards the end, Sona concluded the conversation saying, “Because u brought up how she has been consistently fighting the good fight? I refute that. She's become a lot like her oppressors. Also, nepotism is not linked to the class/star system. Latter is abused by Kangana 2.Fighting 1 evil with another. Hope she wins the N battle nevertheless.”
