MUMBAI: A few days back, actor-philanthropist Sonu Sood received a request from a social media user, which grabbed his attention. The social media user requested Sood to bring back his uncle's mortal remains from Saudi Arabia. He shared that his uncle had passed away due to heart stroke, but the authorities weren't sending his mortal remains back to India. Sood was swift in response and said, "Will try best to bring his body back. Already speaking to the concerned authorities." Now, Sood shared that the mortal remains of the concerned individual will reach Hyderabad on August 20. He also gave a shoutout to social activist Girish Pant for help.

As soon as he shared the news, fans hailed Sood for his efforts. "Great work bhai", a user wrote, while another user called Sood "God". Sood rose to fame due to his philanthropic work during the Covid-19 pandemic, with people hailing him as the national hero. Over the years, he has been constantly working towards providing medical assistance, education and other facilities to the needy people.
On the work front, Sood is looking forward to the release of 'Fateh'. The cyber-crime thriller promises to take actioners a notch up, and will boast action sequences at par with Hollywood actioners. The film, which marks Sood's directorial debut, will see the actor share the screen space with Jacqueline Fernandez and Naseeruddin Shah. Produced by Zee Studios and Shakti Sagar Productions, 'Fateh' will release on January 10, 2025.
