MUMBAI: In the ever-evolving world of Bollywood, several actors have showcased their transition from BTS roles to the big screen. The actors who have emerged as power-packed performers had once taken the route of Assistant Directors in some of Bollywood's biggies. Take a look:

Sooraj Pancholi : Sooraj Pancholi has established himself as a dynamic actor in Bollywood. He rose to fame with his blockbuster 'Hero', and has continued to rule the hearts ever since. Previously, at the age of just 17 Sooraj Pancholi worked as an Assistant Director in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's 'Guzaarish'. Later on, he stayed on the AD route for director Kabir Khan’s actioner 'Ek Tha Tiger', and learned the intricacies of filmmaking that helped him reform his craft. With this, the actor is all set to be back on the big screens with his maiden biopic, which is currently untitled. While the details of the film are kept under wraps, it is currently in its production stage.

Veer Pahariya : Veer Pahariya is all set to make his big Bollywood debut with 'Sky Force'. Before stepping onto the big screens, the emerging actor worked behind the lens for Varun Dhawan's 'Bhediya', where he gained valuable experience as an Assistant Director. Now, he is geared up to showcase his acting chops in the upcoming spectacle 'Sky Force'.

Ranbir Kapoor : Ranbir Kapoor, celebrated as one of the most versatile actors of Bollywood, has crafted himself an illustrious career. Before making it big on the big screens, Ranbir took the Assistant Director's route for  his father’s classic drama Premt Granth at the very young age and showcased his skills as an AD.

Sunny Kaushal : Sunny Kaushal, one of the most sought-after actors in Bollywood, has demonstrated his acting chops in 'Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba' and 'Shiddat'. However, the actor has previously donned the hat of an Assistant Director for 'Gunday', which added substance to his fine craft of acting.

Varun Dhawan : Before emerging as an in-demand actor, Varun Dhawan showcased his skills as an Assistant Director for Shah Rukh Khan's 'My Name Is Khan'. The actor absorbed key filmmaking skills and also developed a keen eye for substantial films.

Sidharth Malhotra : Sidharth Malhotra enriched his acting capabilities by previously working as an Assistant Director in 'My Name Is Khan'. With this, Sidharth established a solid foundation in storytelling and character development.

By working as Assistant Directors, these actors have shaped their Bollywood careers and have also contributed to the richness of Indian Cinema.
