KOLKATA: The latest review of Uma has touched Srijit Mukherji’s heart! And no, it has not come from any professional film critic but straight from Evan's best friend's sister.
Srijit directorial film Uma (2018) is inspired by the true story of a Canadian boy named Evan Leversage, who was terminally ill.
Backed by SVF, Uma features Jisshu Sengupta, Sara Sengupta, Anjan Dutt, Srabanti Chatterjee, Sayantika Banerjee, Anirban Bhattacharya, and Rudranil Ghosh.
Touched by the note that he received, Srijit took to Twitter to express his feelings.
He wrote, ‘A note from Sophia, Evan's best friend Myle's sister, who used to come to the hospital to read to Evan and have pizza parties. Possibly my favourite review of #Uma.’
