If you’re the kind who binge-watched American super show Breaking Bad, here’s some news for you. We won’t go into whether it’s bad or good, but news it is!
Apparently, Shah Rukh Khan is keen to remake the Emmy-award winning series into a Hindi feature film, as revealed to a popular daily during an interview. Even though Bollywood is known for making Hollywood remakes, re-creating a TV show into a feature film would be a first for us.
“I want to make it into a movie. As a series, it is too evolved to come on Indian television. The Indian audience won’t be accepting of meth, drugs and the mafia,” the actor told the daily.
He even hinted at that he would be playing the lead, Walter White, if the series were ever re-made. Because “Great films don’t work without me, darling,” stated the actor, who is busy promoting Dilwale.
Bryan Cranston played Walter White (to perfection, may we add?), a chemistry teacher who is diagnosed with lung cancer. In order to help his family tide over tough times when he is gone, he starts cooking meth.
'Breaking Bad' is a southern American slang for 'raising hell'. The series, generally considered one of the best to be ever made, traces the trials and tribulations of the Whites and their tryst with money, mafia and meth.
