MUMBAI: There was a time when Katrina Kaif and Ranbir Kapoor’s relationship was the hot topic of tinsel town and their holiday pictures ruled social media. But as we all know, after a few years, they broke up.
They are in news once again now, for a different reason though. If reports are to be believed, their story inspired one of the plotlines in Aanand L Rai’s Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif, and Anushka Sharma starrer Zero.
Katrina and Ranbir dated for five years and lived together for a couple of years before breaking up. Post the break up, Katrina went through a rough phase. In Zero, she plays Babita Kumari, a diva who is battling alcoholism, and, according to a leading publication, that phase has been showcased in the song Heer Badnaam, which was released by the makers today. Abhay Deol has a cameo in the song; he plays Katrina’s love interest in the film. In the song Heer Badnaam, Abhay plays the role of Ranbir Kapoor.
