MUMBAI: Varun Dhawan has begun filming in full swing for his upcoming movie Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. He is once again working with Janhvi Kapoor on the film, which was formally announced earlier this year.
Varun also shot with Sanjivani star Gurdip Punjj for the Shashank Khaitan film. Recently, photos of Varun posing with Gurdip and her family have appeared online.

Recently, Gurdip Punjj worked on numerous well-known television shows and shared a set of photos with Varun Dhawan on Instagram. Gurdip, her son, and her daughter were also with her husband Arjun Punjj when they visited what looked to be a jewellery store.
For some endearing photos, Gurdip and her family posed with Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari director Shashank Khaitan and Varun. She talked about her experience working on the movie in the caption.
She wrote, “It was a pleasure working with you both, @varundvn @shashankkhaitan you both not only superstars but superhumans... good luck for the film #sunnysanskarikitulsikumari #dharmaproductions #lovedshootingthem.”
Shashank Khaitan is the writer and director of Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari. In addition to Sanya Malhotra, Rohit Saraf, Maniesh Paul, and Akshay Oberoi playing important roles, the film's outstanding ensemble cast features Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor in the key roles.
Details of the movie's premise were previously disclosed by a source close to the project. According to the source, “It’s a pure family entertainer with romance in its backdrop, much like the kind of films that Shashank has made over the years.”
It further added, “The premise of SSKTK is very close to the kind of films that Dharma is known for as it celebrates love with color, music, scale, and a strong star cast.”
The Movie is produced by Hiroo Yash Johar, Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, and Shashank Khaitan, and is supposed to open in theatres on April 18, 2025.
