MUMBAI: Actress Yami Gautam, who made her Bollywood debut opposite Ayushmann Khurrana in 2012's Vicky Donor, has managed to make a mark in the Hindi film industry. With films like Uri: The Surgical Strike and A Thursday, Yami may have impressed the audience, but the actress finds her job 'quite suffocating'.
Yami's recent revelation proves that being an actor involves so much more than just being good at your work. In an interview, the Badlapur actress shared details of her chat with a very popular celebrity manager. The person had advised Yami to attend Bollywood parties so she can stay in the limelight and make sure that people haven't forgotten her, she said.

"Recently, I reached early for a meeting, where I met somebody’s manager, somebody really senior. I had just happened to meet her. She and I were conversing and she asked me how she doesn’t see me at many parties. I didn’t understand what was the big deal, but she insisted that I need to be seen in these places.
She said, ‘Until you’re not seen, you’ve not arrived’. I told her that I thought I had arrived with a very good film, but she kept on insisting that I need to network and get out, I need to up my game, and be seen everywhere," Yami asserted.
