KOLKATA: The motion logo of the much-awaited treasure hunt film, Durgeshgorer Guptodhon, was launched recently.
Backed by SVF and directed by Dhrubo Banerjee, this is the second instalment of the Bengali treasure hunt franchise.
The motion logo of the film was unveiled by the lead cast Abir Chatterjee, Arjun Chakraborty, Ishaa Saha, director Dhrubo Banerjee and scriptwriter Subhendu Dasmunshi. The unveiling of the motion poster of the official logo was a treat to watch. An animated underwater video was played showing a few fish swimming by, as a golden conch is suddenly immersed in the water. Coming to the story of Durgeshgorer Guptodhon, Professor Subarna Sen aka Sona Da' (Abir) a professor of history, along with Abir (Arjun) and Jhinuk (Ishaa) decide to visit one of Sona da's student's ancestral mansion at Durgeshgor. The great grandfather of this student was an erstwhile zamindar and a renowned artist of Bengal. There is a myth that runs in the family that they had once received a massive treasure, but all traces and trails of it had been lost. Sona'da along with Abir and Jhinuk join a festivity in that mansion in Durgeshgor and stumble upon the lost clues that may lead them in unearthing one of the greatest treasures of Bengal!
Also starring Anindya Chatterjee, Kaushik Sen, Kharaj Mukherjee, June Maliah, Aryann, Arindam Sil, Kamaleswar Mukherjee and Joydeep Kundu in pivotal roles, the film is scheduled to release in May 2019.
