MUMBAI : Thangalaan is a Tamil movie that is also available to watch in Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam. The movie was released on 15th August, a day when there were 14 more movies were released (Including Hindi, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu). The movie is directed by Pa Ranjith and features a stellar cast of Chiyaan Vikram, Malavika Mohanan, Parvathy Thiruvothu, Preeti Karan, Daniel Caltagirone and Muthu Kumar.
Just when the movie was announced, Chiyaan Vikram fans got excited and curious for more updates and right after the trailer dropped, it was rush of energy as the audience were really hyped with it. Chiyaan Vikram has impressed us once again. On its opening day, the movie collected around Rs 13.3 Cr India nett (all languages). Meanwhile it collected around Rs 26 Cr worldwide.
The effect of the movie was such that there came a demand from the Hindi movie audience and the makers did not disappoint. It was announced that the movie will be dubbed in Hindi language and it will release on 30th August, which is a pretty close release date.
Now at Thangalaan’s hindi trailer release launch, Parvathy praised late actor Irrfan Khan as they had worked together in Qarib Qarib Single, the 2017 romcom which was loved by the audience.
Parvathy Thiruvothu said, “I guess it is the generosity…Irrfan sir used to help me out with things because Hindi is not my native language so he used to help me getting in that space and made sure that everyone knew you are as good as the other person on sets. And I saw that generosity in him.”
