Jai Ho may have failed to create history but that hasn't stopped Salman Khan from thanking his countless fans who saw and supported his movie. The movie which was released amidst gigantic expectations has till now collected 77.48 crore at the Indian box-office. Though the figure is not exactly small, it pales in comparison to the box-office collections of Dhoom 3 and Chennai Express.
Salman himself at an event accepted that people expected a bit too much in terms of box-office collections from the film. Although Jai Ho has grossed 100 crore worldwide, the collections in India are proceeding at a snail’s pace. Tuesday saw a greater dip with only Rs. 7. 30 crore collected at the box office which brought the total collections of the movie closer to Rs. 77.48 crore (excluding Wednesday’s collection)
The figures may not make Salman ‘the box-office king’ but then Salman himself had told us in an interview that numbers don’t bother him. “My producers shouldn’t lose money. I make films for my fans and if they are happy, I am also happy.”
Staying true to that commitment, Salman expressed his gratitude on twitter by writing -
'Thank you to all the fans who have seen Jai Ho and liked it. I totally appreciate it guys. You been wonderful. God bless.'
Salman will always be Salman-the ultimate Khan, no matter what!!!
