The Family Man’s Sharib Hashmi reveals in Season 3 of the show the ‘Stakes are higher’; shares how he cracked Jab Tak Hai Jaan audition

MUMBAI : Sharib Hashmi started his career with playing small roles in multiple movies, but his big break was Filmistaan that got him into the limelight. He has starred in many films and OTT series till now and has proved his mettle as an actor. He has been part of films like Slumdog Millionaire, Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Ujda Chaman, Pagglait, Vikram Vedha, Mission Majnu, Sharmajee Ki Beti among  others.

In a recent interview, Sharib opened up about the third season of the superhit series The Family Man and how he got through the auditions.

Whatever "dhamaal" the audience has known from previous seasons will still exist, he said in the open discussion, but the "stakes are higher." He said that they had just begun filming for the third installment of the well-liked series when asked how much of it had been shot.

Sharib said that in the season 3 of the series, the ‘Stakes will be higher’. He mentioned working at other professions to make ends meet and his battle to exist in the industry, but he also mentioned that he never received any payment for making the short film Mehrooni. But the actor said it helped him land a part in the film Jab Tak Hai Jaan, which stars Anushka Sharma, Katrina Kaif, and Shah Rukh Khan.

Sharib recalled that he got a call from Yash Raj Films and the film was directed by Aditya Chopra. He decided to give one last audition and within 30 mins he got a call saying that he got the part. He said, “Mai toh aesa pagal ho gaya tha ki ye kya hoagaya.”
