MUMBAI : At the age of sixty-three, renowned actor Chad McQueen, best remembered for his role as Dutch in The Karate Kid, passed away. On September 12, he passed away at his ranch in Palm Springs. McQueen, who was honored for his performances in the 1984 movie as well as other noteworthy parts he had during his career, is the son of the renowned actors Steve McQueen and Neile Adams.
After his death was announced, condolences from the entertainment world flooded in. The popular Cobra Kai television series, a follow-up to The Karate Kid, co-creator Jon Hurwitz, offered his sympathy. Many people have sent their condolences, including Mike Fury, Sean Kanan, and TV personality Hector Navarro.
A excerpt of actor John Hurwitz’s X post read, “Unfortunately, Chad was unable to join us when it came time to shoot. At the end of the day, it wasn’t meant to be. But Dutch will always be remembered as a badass’ badass in the Miyagiverse. He kicked ass. He hated “Danielle.” And he loved riding bikes with his boys.
The fandom mourns a Karate Kid legend today. I’m so grateful I had the honor of spending an afternoon with him. Sending much love and strength to his wonderful family. May Chad rest in peace.”
Dutch may have been the purest Cobra of them all. Merciless and dangerous through and through. That’s what we loved about him. And it was all because of Chad McQueen’s performance.

Caught the racing bug, studied martial arts, acted (but no cash-ins on his father’s work). Honoured the legacy while doing it his way.”
