MUMBAI: With a lot of announcements, one that garnered a lot of attention was the announcement of ‘The Sabarmati Report’ which is directed by Ranjan Chandel and stars Vikrant Massey, Ridhi Dogra and Raashii Khanna. The movie was initially announced to be released on 3rd May but the release date got postponed and will now release on 15th November.
The movie is produced by Ektaa R Kapoor, Shobha Kapoor, Amul V Mohan and Anshul Mohan. The movie announcement made a wave amongst the audience. Mainly the curiosity about this movie was because of the casting and the story of the movie.

The makers released the much-awaited teaser in which they got to see how the movie is based on what took place in Sabarmati Express on 27 Feb 2002. Audience is curious to see what the story holds in store and also, Vikrant Massey fans are excited.
Today, the makers finally released the trailer of the movie which really got the hopes high. During the trailer launch, there were many revelations and interesting insights which we got to know. One of them was about Vikrant Massey getting death threats due to his role in the movie.
Vikrant Massey opened up about this and said, “Ji haan, aayi hai aur aa rahi hai. But as I said ke hum kalaakar hai aur kahaniya bolte hai, aur log kya sochte hai, unko kya lagta hai, ha ek cheez I’ll take it from Ekta and sort of put it out very clearly AGAIN, this film is purely based on facts. Unfortunately aapne film ab tak dekhi nahi hai. So yeh aapko pre-conceived notion nahi banana chahiye key eh kisi ek pehlu ki baat kar rahe hai. Pure 3 minute ke promo mein, humne 4th pillar jo hai democracy ka, Media, humne uske yogdaan, uska kya paksh tha, kya pratikriya thi, 27th February ko jo hua uske upar woh bhi hai, but coming back to your question, without drawing attention to it, it is something that I am dealing with and and we as a team collectively are dealing with and I think we’ll deal with it the way it is ought to be.”
