MUMBAI: Koffee With Karan has long been the gold standard of celebrity talk shows in India, offering fans a front-row seat to some of Bollywood’s most candid, controversial, and charming conversations.
Hosted by the ever-stylish Karan Johar, the show has become a pop culture mainstay, delivering a heady mix of gossip, glamour and gripping revelations, one steaming cup at a time.
In a throwback to Season 3, one particular moment featuring Shah Rukh Khan left viewers both amused and impressed by his signature wit. During a solo appearance on the show, SRK was put in the hot seat for the rapid-fire round. Karan posed a spicy question: if given the chance, who would he rather date: Deepika Padukone or Sonam Kapoor?

He replied that he wouldn’t choose either of them, referencing an earlier episode where Deepika and Sonam had appeared together and made less-than-flattering remarks about Ranbir Kapoor. Shah Rukh, known for his loyalty and sharp humour, cheekily hinted that after watching that episode, he’d rather steer clear.
Though SRK has gone on to share sizzling on-screen chemistry with Deepika in several films, including Chennai Express and Pathaan, he’s never worked with Sonam Kapoor in a full-fledged role.
