MUMBAI : Triptii Dimri is just a few films old in the industry, but she has impressed one and all with her performances. Recently, the actress was seen in Qala which premiered on Netflix, and her performance in the movie has been getting a lot of praise.
TellyChakkar recently interacted with Triptii and spoke to her about the pressure of doing better films, her upcoming movies, and more…
With every film, you have proved your mettle as an actor. So, does that put pressure on you while you are signing a new movie?
I think it’s up to you to take the pressure or not take the pressure. The only pressure that I take is that what I am doing next is different from what I did earlier. That’s what I want to do as an actor; I want to do different roles and different genres. Obviously, you cannot expect the same outcome from every film. My Laila Majnu was a completely different film and in Poster Boys, I acted so differently. So, honestly, I don’t take that pressure because I don’t feel that my happiness and sadness depend on whether my films are doing well or whether I am getting appreciated or not. Yes, you do feel good as an actor and feel motivated that yes people are loving it.
Any updates about your films with Anand Tiwari and Animal?
Anand Tiwari's film will be coming out next year. We are done with the shoot, and it was a beautiful experience working with Anand, Vicky (Kaushal), and everyone who is involved in the project. And I cannot talk much about Animal.
You have worked with Anvita Dutt in Bulbbul and Qala, so any plans for a hat-trick with her?
I wish, and I really hope. I love working with her, I love the kind of stories she tells, and create the kind of characters she does. It’s a pleasure for me to be in her films. I feel lucky that so soon in my career I have done two films with her because when you are working with her, you learn so much as an actor. She is my mentor, so I would love to do all her films.
