Uddhav Thackeray to consider plan of action proposed by industry to revive shooting and post-production

MUMBAI: The outbreak of the novel coronavirus has led to a huge loss to the economy and entertainment industry and has stopped the income of daily-wage workers. Covid-19 has brought everything into a standstill. The shooting for films like Shahid Kapoor's Jersey, Kangana Ranaut's Thalaivi, etc., has halted midway. Not just the shooting, many big-budget films like Gunjan Saxena, Sooryavanshi, and '83 have been indefinitely delayed. Amidst all this bad news, there might be good news for the entertainment industry that has been tweeted by the Chief Minister Of Maharashtra Uddhav Thackeray on Twitter

Well, according to his latest tweets, he has asked the entertainment industry to prepare an action plan on film shooting and post-production activities and mentioned that he will consider a plan of action proposed by the industry in 'reviving shooting and post-production activities if it includes physical distancing norms and other precautions.' He recently got in touch with artiste and producers from the entertainment industry, especially Marathi film, theatre, and television series via video conference and took this decision.

In one of the tweets, he mentioned, 'The State Government will stand firmly with technicians, backstage artistes, workers, folk artistes and tamasha performers in this crisis. The Chief Minister also said that rent concessions for those who have erected sets in the Film City, will be considered.'

Have a look.
