The makers of <em>Ghanchakkar</em>, who had planned to cast the actor in a cameo, have been apparently been forced to call it off, given the current circumstances around Dutt's imminent surrender. All was well till the recent verdict of the Supreme Court that went against Sanjay Dutt.

The makers of Ghanchakkar, who had planned to cast the actor in a cameo, have been apparently been forced to call it off, given the current circumstances around Dutt's imminent surrender. All was well till the recent verdict of the Supreme Court that went against Sanjay Dutt.
A source said, "Sanjay has been running against time to complete all his pending projects. He had a cameo in Vidya Balan's next in which he was supposed to play himself. The actor had agreed to do the role on the insistence of his Lage Raho Munnabhai co-star Vidya."
An insider said, "The role was perfect for Sanju baba as he had to just play himself. So no one else can replace him. It's just a cameo while there are other semi-completed projects awaiting his return."
