MUMBAI : There's been a trend of re-releasing movies now and as opposed to some people who were against this trend in the beginning, the majority of the audience is enjoying it and filling up theatres to get experience of watching movies that they weren't able to, or missed it or wish to re-watch it.

Earlier, we got to see movies like Sarfarosh, Kal Ho Na Ho, Pyaar Ka Punchnama, Rockstar, Laila Majnu, Tumbbad and many more re-releasing in theatres. This has surely worked great for the theatres, giving them the profit which was very much required. It is also important to note that this trend clearly shows the power of ticket pricing when they are affordable.
Recently, we got to see Veer Zaara re-releasing in theatres and this was a huge deal for SRK fans. The movie's first week collection after a re-release was better than some first-time released movies and this says volumes.
