MUMBAI : Although the cricket player has starred in numerous advertisements, fans of Virat Kohli have never seen him in a film. In a recent interview, well-known casting director Mukesh Chhabra stated that even though Virat is an excellent actor, he should never work in films. Mukesh stated that the cricket player should avoid films even when his career in cricket ends, in response to the interviewer's suggestion that he might do so.

Mukesh revealed with Ranveer Allahbadia the reasons behind his ideas. “He is already a great actor. He is from Delhi, he is a Punjabi. He has seen that life. He has handled success so beautifully. He has maintained himself on every level, competition, looks, fitness, mentally. He is a fan of Chole Bhature, he is a great guy.”
Mukesh then added that Virat seems to be a “great husband and great father.” “I met him 5-6 years back at a party, today he is a role model for everybody,” he said. Mukesh shared that Virat has inspired a generation of cricketers.
When asked further, Mukesh said, “He is also so funny. He will dance, mimic, his comic timing is great. He is doing very well in making the country proud, he should stay where he is and not join films. He should not join films even after retiring from his cricket career. He is genuinely a smart guy, not a cunning one.” Cricket players like Sreesanth, Ajay Jadeja, and Harbhajan Singh have all made cameo appearances in films in the past.
The actor Anushka Sharma and Virat got together on the set of an advertisement and later got married. They dated for a few years before their 2018 wedding. They are now parents to Vamika, the couple's daughter, and Akaay, their son. For the past few months, Virat and Anushka, and their kids have been in the UK.
