MUMBAI: Armaan Kohli, who is known for his stint in the Bigg Boss house, was initially going to debut in Bollywood with the movie Deewana, which marked SRK’s debut. Armaan had even shot for the poster of the movie. But owing to creative differences, Armaan waked out of the movie, and his loss became Shah Rukh’s gain.
Starring opposite Divya Bharti, the actor gave a commendable performance in the movie. And there's no doubt about the fact that Deewana did act as a catalyst in his career and shot him to overnight fame.
We had heard of this only through Armaan so far. Recently though, Shah Rukh Khan, while talking about his journey in Bollywood, said that he owes his career to Mr. Kohli. Trust SRK to always floor you with his humility.
'Armaan Kohli is responsible for me being a star. He featured on the Deewana poster with the late Divya Bharti. I still have that poster. Thank you for making me a star,' Shah Rukh said on the show.
Armaan's success could not have matched Shah Rukh's. But we still owe him a 'thank you' for giving Bollywood its most charming actor.
