MUMBAI: Priyanka Chopra slayed her look at MET Gala 2019. She was accompanied by her husband and American singer Nick Jonas, and the duo rocked their looks.
This year’s theme was Camp: Notes on Fashion, and thus, Priyanka opted for a dramatic look. She wore a Dior outfit and went for a never seen before makeup. However, her highlighted back-combed hair and dramatic make-up did not go down well with some and they launched many memes on social media. The global icon was praised by some, while she got trolled by some others.
Recently, Priyanka’s mother Madhu Chopra, who appeared at an event, was asked about her look from MET Gala 2019.
She said to the reporters, “Itni door se kya reaction hoga, mere saamne hoti to jhappi lagati. Bahut sunder lag rahi thi, bahut special lag rahi thi (If she would have been here, I would have hugged her). [She (Priyanka) was looking very beautiful and special].”
