MUMBAI: Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao, who were in Ladakh shooting for the former's film Laal Singh Chadha, performed traditional dance dressed in Ladakhi attire. Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao gave a shocker to many when the two announced their divorce on July 3. Releasing an official statement, the couple shared the heartbreaking news after being happily married for 15 long years. After announcing their divorce, Aamir and Kiran marked their first appearance together, in a video as they reassured their well-wishers and fans that they are happy with their decision.
As per the media reports the former couple was last seen in Ladakh together. Aamir and Kiran were in Ladakh to shoot for the former's film Laal Singh Chadha. It was South Indian actor Naga Chaitanya who shared a BTS pictorial update on his Instagram featuring Aamir and Kiran.
Many videos of Aamir, Kiran dancing wearing traditional Ladakhi attires have surfaced online. In the now-viral video clips, Aamir was seen red coloured oversized attires. Aamir also wore a quirky purple hat while Kiran sported a pink attire with a green hat.
A localite was seen teaching the dance steps to Aamir and Kiran which the two tried to copy. The crowd gathered around the area was seen cheering for Aamir and Kiran. Many fan pages shared videos and pictures of the duo dancing. "#Aamir and #KiranRao dance together in #Ladakh on #LaalSinghChaddha shoot yesterday," a fan page wrote.
Directed by Advait Chandan, Laal Singh Chaddha is the Hindi remake of the Oscar-winning Hollywood film Forrest Gump, featuring Tom Hanks. The film was scheduled to release in the month of December last year and will now hit the big screen on Christmas 2021.
Meanwhile, Aamir and Kiran, after their divorce, will continue with their professional partnership with Paani Foundation. They will also "nurture and raise" their son Azad together. "We began a planned separation some time ago, and now feel comfortable to formalise this arrangement, of living separately yet sharing our lives the way an extended family does. We remain devoted parents to our son Azad, who we will nurture and raise together."
