When Anushka Sharma thrashed eve-teaser in school for groping female friend

Anushka Sharma's upcoming film NH 10 will see her play a very real character who goes through real life terrifying and scary situations that many especially women in country have faced. The trailer of the movie shows her walking with a rod in hand and hitting men with great vengeance and force. Although, the actress has never had to resort to such brutality in real life, she too has faced situations like eve-teasing that many girls in our country silently bear. Reveals Anushka, "I haven't taken a rod and hit anybody but ofcourse when I was in school while coming out of it guys would eve tease. They would act cheap, flash and do stuff like. It was worse than catcalls actually. There is groping that used to happen. A friend of mine was once groped and I remember hitting the guy with Milton water bottle. We stopped the traffic and then got people to pick him up and hit him." Being the daughter of an army officer, Anushka has always preferred fighting her own battle. Says the actress, "I have been brought up to voice my opinion and fight back." With her first film all geared up for a grand release, Anushka too is pretty excited. Talking about her role, the pretty actress says, " I play the character of Meera who is a working cosmopolitan girl. she is very comfortable in her own cocoon that she has created for her own self. Meera and her husband go out on a weekend trip one day and on the way they encounter an incident which changes their life and how they struggle their way out of it is what the film is all about. The movie will release on 6th March.
