MUMBAI: Filmmaker Boney Kapoor and Sridevi’s affair back in the 80s was one of the hot topics at that time where the actress was also criticised as a homebreaker to Boney’s peaceful marriage with Mona and their kids, Arjun and Anshula. Although the couple had conquered all the situations and got married at the temple in 1996.

The filmmaker broke the heart of his family and especially his children who could not forgive him for the same. Years later, the filmmaker revealed his past life and recalled the moment when he had confessed about his extramarital before his ex-wife Mona. He said, “In fact, I had confessed to my ex-wife that I’m in love with her. I couldn’t hold myself back.”
In one of his interviews, the filmmaker reveals the time when he was obsessed with Sridevi. In his words: “Basically, Sri’s an introvert. Her job done, she’d keep to herself. But what impressed me was her innocence. She was not corrupted by artifice. Mere dil ko woh gherti chali gayee. My obsession for her only grew each time I met her. She was so simple despite being a superstar.”
The filmmaker was blessed with Arjun Kapoor and Anshula Kapoor with Mona Shourie, where when he got married to Sridevi he was blessed with two baby girls, Janhvi Kapoor and Khushi Kapoor. Boney Kapoor once in an interview speaks about his four kids bond and their childhood. He said, “As I said, I am blessed to have these four. They love each other a lot and I am glad that they have come together. It was due to happen anytime, it just happened when something unfortunate happened. They are all my blood and they had to come around. I give credit to all four, but yes, more to Arjun because he is the eldest. He flew into Dubai to be with me. Anshula was in Mumbai with Janhvi and Khushi. They have happened through two different mothers but why should they get affected? They need their father now, and I am going to be around them.”
