In an old video, we see Kangana Ranaut praising Alia Bhatt's performance in Meghna Gulzar's Raazi. She appreciated women writers and directors reaching success and expressed joy that a film made by women will cross Rs 100 crore mark. Talking about Alia, she stated, "I have no words, she is so good." Kangana in the video also sent out congratulations to Alia Bhatt and called her the 'crowned queen', 'the undisputed queen' of Bollywood. She said that it is Alia's world and we are living in it.
The Manikarnika actress also mentioned that Meghna and Alia had called her to watch the trial of the film, however, she could not make it.
While this was about Raazi, Kangana doesn't seem to be pretty impressed with Alia's Gully Boy. In the explosive interview that Kangana gave to Republic TV, she compared Sushant Singh Rajput's Chhichhore and Gully Boy saying, "Last year Sushant’s film Chhichhore came out, how many of us know that it was a bigger hit than Gully Boy? While Gully Boy just made even its profits, Chhichhore was a blockbuster. But there was no acknowledgment for him. For a mediocre film, they are celebrating Alia and Zoya.”
