MUMBAI: Arjun Kapoor has fully immersed himself in his role as Danger Lanka in Singham Again, dedicating himself with a focus he describes as intense and all-consuming. In a recent video he shared that for nearly a year, he stepped away from the spotlight. “I had the biggest film of the industry to shoot and I didn’t want to be distracted,” Arjun explained. “Sometimes when you go missing for a few days, or become lowkey, people maybe remember you and view you in a new light.” His absence left fans intrigued, and the trailer of Singham Again has stirred even more curiosity about his character.
To prepare for the role, Arjun shared that he went into it with the focus of a newcomer. “I just switched off, like I said. I just went into this whole thing about just being focused on this one particular film and treating it like my debut all over again almost.” He wanted to be “so clear and so available” for Singham Again that he prioritized it above everything else. The character, he says, came from the Rohit Shetty’s vision, which allowed him to “just come and play the part and look the part.”
Working with Ajay Devgn was a key experience for Arjun, who considers Devgn a role model—“If I may dare to say so, he’s somebody who I admire to the point that I would like to emulate maybe even 5% of what he’s done. I’ll be amazed and I’ll be very, very proud of myself.”
With Singham Again, Arjun Kapoor not only steps into a character but also demonstrates his commitment to evolving within the film industry’s demanding landscape. The anticipation is high, with Arjun’s fans eager to see how his dedication translates to the screen, hoping it marks a new milestone in his career.
