Why Kangana has decided to stay away from award functions...

Kangana Ranaut who is currently basking in the unimaginable glory that Queen has stunned fans and critics alike when she announced her decision to stay away from award functions henceforth. This was baffling as Kangana had more than a fair chance of sweeping both popular and critics' award at all award ceremonies this year for Queen. So what prompted Kangana to take this defensive step? Does she feel that awards are rigged and in spite of delivering a great performance, she may not end up winning this time? When we asked the same to Kangana at an event recently, Kangana was quite candid in her reply. "These days there are so many award functions happening and attending the same means spending time and money on make-up and styling. All this makes it an expensive affair. I am not saying that these awards are not genuine but there are so many now like a smile award, hair award and many such that it seems like you are giving them away just to make everyone happy.” In Bollywood, Aamir is well known for shunning all popular award functions. However, Kangana had clarified earlier that she was not inspired or following Aamir. Well, let’s wait and watch if Kangana will take back her words and attend award ceremonies this year.
