MUMBAI: Agastya Nanda, who will play Archie Andrews in The Archies, was questioned about how close he is to his Netflix character. Agastya declared that he is "definitely not a casanova" in an interview. He also emphasized how similar he is to Archie Andrews. He also mentioned Ritu Nanda, his late grandmother, as his role model.
Agastya exclaimed, "I wouldn't call myself a casanova. Something that we do share in common is our love for music, because it helps you deal with a lot of emotions and that's where we are kind of similar, and yes, I am definitely not a casanova. I don't think you choose The Archies. It was Zoya who chose and we auditioned for it. Being on Netflix is such an exciting opportunity, being streamed in 190 countries at once. I find it so exciting. I couldn't have asked for a better team of people to work with. These guys over here have become my best friends and we hang out a lot, actually a bit too much."
Agastya talkeda bout his role model, "My role model is my dadi (grandmother), Ritu Nanda. She isn't with us anymore, but I have always aspired to be like her. She just had this warmth about her that if you were around her, you could feel like you could do anything. I wish to be like that, to give people around me all that positivity and love."
The parents of Agastya are Nikhil Nanda and Shweta Bachchan. Navya Naveli Nanda is his sister. His maternal grandparents are Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan.
Boney Kapoor and the late Sridevi's daughter Khushi Kapoor (Veronica Lodge), Shah Rukh Khan, and Gauri Khan's daughter Suhana Khan (Betty Cooper) all appear in the film, which is directed by Zoya Akhtar. Besides Dot (Ethel Muggs), Jughead Jones (Mihir Ahuja), Reggie Mantle (Vedang Raina), and Dilton Doiley (Yuvraj Menda) are also present.
A coming-of-age musical called The Archies will transport viewers to the fictional hilltop town of Riverdale. The movie explores relationships with friends, free love, heartache, and rebelling. On December 7, The Archies will debut on Netflix.
