Clinton Cerejo, who is a part of Coke Studio@MTV Season 2 as a music producer, was in for a pleasant surprise when the crew and artists brought in his birthday by surprising him with a cake on the sets in the middle of the shoot.
Clinton started his musical journey from gospel music and he has a very close affinity for it, on the episode he also mentioned that all his other compositions were for Coke Studio@MTV but Dungar was a song for himself. In the song ‘Dungar’, Clinton included a psalm from the Bible in the lyrics and he got a Gospel choir called the Salvation Singers to sing it too. These inclusions were made on the same day of the shoot, the choir was called that very day and with very little rehearsal they went on stage and performed brilliantly. Clinton’s birthday was spent on the sets of Coke Studio@MTV making some awesome music.
Clinton Cerejo is best known for his vocal, music arrangements and production vision, Clinton first caught the fancy of AR Rahman and subsequently went on to create path breaking music across various spheres, from ad films, to gospel choirs to film music. He is considered an ace at fusing western sensibilities seamlessly into rustic Indian music. Clinton has composed 6 songs on this season of Coke Studio@MTV which are Dungar, Sathi Salam, Banjara, Madari, Chad De and Naina.
Clinton Cerejo’s episode premiers on 7July at 7pm on MTV!!!
