SRK punctures hopes of Khichdi team

Their intention was noble. They had made a film out of the immensely popular TV sitcom, Khichdi which is due to release on October 1 and producers JD Majethia and Aatish Kapadia (who is also directed it) only wanted the blessings of Shah Rukh Khan for their Khichdi The Movie. The idea was that the way Shah Rukh made his successful swift from television to films, the Khichdi team too wanted some of his gold dust to rub off on their venture. And so the venue was the garden opposite SRK’s Mannat and needless to say the media swooped down waiting with bated breath for the haloed gates to open! Alas, nothing of that sort happened as the locals created a ruckus saying the media and the hangers on were trampling on their newly manicured lawn! And so JD and gang had to hurriedly unveil the poster (which is zany with a zanier catchline ‘Comedy Family presenting Family Comedy’) with the cast quickly giving soundbytes before the cops arrived! Well, we hope SRK at least watches the movie when it releases.
