Based on the life of valiant Marathi king Bajirao, his relationship with his first wife, Kashibai and his torrid love affair with the half-muslim princess Mastani.
This is SLB’s most ambitious flick and it shows. The dramatic fight sequences and roaring background merge into the fiery independence of Mastani and the graceful homeliness of Kashibai. Be it the trio’s period costumes, Ranveer’s shaved head or Mastani’s fine archery, the teaser looks like a delightful painting coming alive in front of your eyes.
We know how amazing Ranveer and Deeps were together in Ram Leela, and we can’t wait to see their star-crossed love story in this epic drama. How exactly would Kashibai aka Priyanka fit into the puzzle is something we are wondering too. It’s a must watch.
