Priya Marathe who is currently playing Varsha in Zee’s daily soap Pavitra Rishta shares her food preferences. Personal fitness mantra: Yoga. Personal diet mantra: Eat many times during a day but in small proportions. Exercise routine: Trying to maintain one. Is food the elixir of life? Absolutely. Are you a foodie? Totally. Are you a vegetarian or non-vegetarian? Eggetarian. Favourite cuisine: Malvani. Favourite dish: I like sweet things, so it has to be Puranpoli. Favourite restaurant: I am fond of home-cooked food. If at all I go out, I try out new places. So no single favourite as such. A must on my breakfast table: Something to drink like milk or juice. Sugar or sugar-free for my tea/coffee: Sugar, Sugar, Sugar. Lunch generally consists of: Roti, subzi, dal and may be little rice sometimes. Dinner generally consists of: Often I eat my dinner outside, so it can be anything. Dessert delights: My meals have to end with ice- creams. One thing I can't resist: Cakes and pastries. My favourite drink (non-alcoholic): Orange juice. My favourite drink (alcoholic): Long island iced tea. Most unusual dish I've tasted: Recently, I had this pasta in white sauce which had some weird imported wild mushrooms. Experiment with food: I cook quite often, so I do experiment with food. On the streets, I love to have: Bhurji pav, pav bhaji, wraps, rolls, frankies. Do you cook? Yes. Favourite receipe: Coleslaw Ingredients: Mayonnaise, little curd and little honey along with chopped carrots, spring onions, cabbage and pepper. Method: Mix mayonnaise with honey and curd. Make the mixture smooth. Add finely chopped vegetables and mix it. One can freeze this mixture or have it immediately by topping it up with pepper. It tastes great with bread slices.
