I am open to doing gay roles in films- Tiger Shroff

Not too long back memes on Tiger Shroff made waves on social networking sites. Among the many jokes, one of them that did the rounds was about Tiger Shroff being gay. The actor, however remained unfazed and in fact took the jokes with a pinch of salt. In relation to the gay jokes, Tiger had then said, "A lot of people think I’m gay. I have really red lips so they say I wear lipstick; they say my dance is very feminine and a lot of people think I look like a girl. But that’s fine. I take the criticism positively." Now that's the right way of reacting to unwarranted criticism. Though gay jokes about him have been cracked in the past, the actor is not averse to portraying a gay character onscreen. At a martial arts event yesterday when Tiger was asked if he would ever consider playing a homosexual character onscreen a la Dostana, Tiger said 'yes' without batting an eyelid. "As an actor you should have no inhibitions and should be ready to do any role that comes your way. That is what will make you versatile," said Tiger. Tiger also displayed his trademark gravity defying air borne kicks at the event yesterday in the presence of martial arts experts from South Korea. From smashing a slate to smithereens with his ferocious kicks, to dancing to the tunes of Whistle Baja, Tiger entertained the jam packed hall. He was later conferred an honorary 5th degree black belt by Kukkiwon, The World Taekwondo Headquarters, which is part of the South Korean Government. On the film front, reports suggest that Tiger will soon be pairing up with Shraddha Kapoor for Shabbir Khan's next. Tiger however preferred to remain tight lipped and refused to comment anything on the same yesterday.
