I will enjoy working with Irrfan Khan in Welcome 2 Karachi- Arshad Warsi

Vashu Bhagnani's new offering Welcome 2 Karachi got off to a rousing start yesterday evening. The mahurat clap was given by ace director Rohit Shetty and old hand David Dhawan and featured in the frame were Irrfan Khan and Arshad Warsi. Quite an unusual combination, we thought. The pairing, just like the title of the movie generated enough buzz. While the makers were not quite willing to reveal much about the movie, we prodded Arshad Warsi to let in on some dope. Talking about his role in the movie, Arshad said, "It's a light-hearted satire weaved around two Indians, played by Irrfan and me. We land up in Karachi with no passport, no identity. Everything's lost and we are at sea in Pakistan. We go through situations that are funny and we are sure audience will like the light-hearted comedy that will be displayed." Arshad will be seen playing an accident prone character whose presence means an accident is lurking somewhere nearby. While Arshad has paired up with many other male co-stars in the past, this is the first time he will be seen sharing the screen space with Irrfan Khan. Looking forward to the association, Arshad said, " Everyone knows about Irrfan's talent. I am sure I will enjoy working with him. As long as two good actors are enjoying their work, it will always result in better cinema." While the movie is set is Karachi, only a few portions will be shot in the actual location while the rest will be shot in India and London. Producer Vashu Bhagnani said, " Shooting entirely in Pakistan is not possible due to many difficulties or else we would have loved to shoot our entire film there." With Welcome 2 Karachi, Arshad will return back to comedy, a genre he has excelled performing. The film will also feature a solo Pakistani heroine named KK whose real identity the makers are not willing to disclose yet. The movie will be a clean comedy and will be devoid of any Pakistan bashing as well. With Irrfan and Arshad teaming up, we are sure this movie would be one fun ride.
